CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (Saturday, January 14, 2006) - Austin Peay hit nine of 10 free throws in the final 1:28 to preserve a 63-56 Ohio Valley Conference win over Southeast Missouri State.

The Governors, 10-6 overall and 5-3 in the OVC, led by as many as 16 points in the second half, but the Redhawks battled back to get within five at 53-48 with 1:38 remaining only to see the Govs put the game away with great free throw shooting.

Austin Peay was led by Zac Schlader with 14 points while Maurice Hampton added 13 and Landon Shipley 11.

Southeast Missouri, 6-9 overall and 3-6 in the OVC, was led by Roy Booker with a career-high 33 points. Booker was 9-22 from the field, 5-11 from three and 10-12 from the line. No other Redhawks player was in double figures. Waylon Francis did lead all rebounders with 11.
