Southeast Drops a Close One at Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - William Moore made a free throw with 2.8 seconds left and Willie Jenkins scored 25 points to lead Tennessee Tech to a 74-73 victory Thursday night over Southeast Missouri.

Tech (8-8, 2-3 Ohio Valley Conference) never trailed in the second half but the Indians (9-7, 2-3) kept it close behind Brandon Griffin's 22 points and team-high nine rebounds.

The Indians' Reggie Golson made two free throws with 26 seconds left to tie it at 73.

Keyon Boyd added 13 points for Tennessee Tech, who hit 12-of-21 3-pointers.

Derek Winans had 12 points for the Indians, who trailed 31-13 with 9:04 left in the first half before gradually cutting the lead. Tech led 40-33 at the half.

Tech led by no more than four points during the last 10 minutes.
