CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (Thursday, January 26, 2006) - Morehead State ended a 15-game losing streak by upsetting Southeast Missouri 60-55 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

It was the fifth straight loss for the Redhawks, 6-12 overall and 3-10 in the OVC. The Redhawks who shot just 35% from the field and 26% from three, trailed for much of the game, but pulled within one at 56-55 with 11-seconds remaining on a 3-pointer by Roy Booker. Southeast fouled Deron Brown who sank both free throws to put the Eagles up by three.

Booker, the league's leading scorer who had 22 points missed a desperation three with one second remaining and Quinton Smith scored at the buzzer for the final margin.

The Eagles, 2-15 overall and 1-10 in the OVC, was led by Shaun Williams with 17 points.

Southeast will host Murray State on Saturday, 3 p.m., in a game that will be televised by ESPN 2.
