NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Garrett Richardson scored 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting as Tennessee State beat Southeast Missouri 72-65 Thursday night.

The loss was the sixth straight for Southeast Missouri (3-17, 1-8 Ohio Valley Conference), which scored just 20 points in the paint compared to 48 by Tennessee State.

Tim Scheer scored 18 points, had eight rebounds and four assists to lead the Indians, who fell behind by seven in the first half and never gained ground through the second.

Tennessee State (8-12, 4-5) shot 60 percent (29-of-48) from the field despite hitting just 1-of-7 from beyond the arc.

The Tigers scored 21 points off Southeast Missouri turnovers for their fourth conference win.

After Richardson, Kyle Rolston scored 13 points and Josh Cooperwood added 10 for Tennessee State.

Brett Hale scored 14 points for Southeast Missouri.
