Southeast Beats Tennessee-Martin 73-69

Southeast Missouri State senior Terrick Willoughby scored 14 points to lead the Redhawks to a 73-69 Ohio Valley Conference win over Tennessee-Martin.

Willoughby's 3-pointer from the top of the key with just 38-seconds remaining put the Redhawks on top by three. Roderick Pearson hit a pair of free throws to put Southeast up 71-66 with 14-seconds remaining. Joseph Bailey hit a 3-pointer to keep the Skyhawks in the game with three-seconds remaining, but Pearson scored on a breakaway at the buzzer to give the Redhawks the 73-69 win.

Brandon Foust and Marcus Rhodes each had 12 points for the Redhawks, who are 9-15 overall and 7-8 in the OVC, while Michael Rembert led in rebounding with 10.

UT-Martin, 6-20 overall and 4-12 in the OVC, was led by McHale Jones with 14 points while GeraldRobinson, Joseph Bailey and Cleve Woodfork all had 13.

Southeast Missouri will host Morehead State on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, 6 p.m.
