Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Eastern Illinois made seven three-pointers including four by Bobby Catchings as the Panthers beat Southeast Missouri 60-49 in an Ohbio Valley Conference game.

The Panthers, 6-18 overall and 5-13 in the OVC, led 30-21 at the half and never let the Redhawks get closer than three points in the second half.

Southeast Missouri, 6-18 overall and 3-15 in the OVC, pulled within three at 46-43 with 4:37 remaining, but the Panthers came right back with a four point play on a 3-pointer by Josh Gomes who was fouled on the play and sank the free throw.

Southeast Missouri shot just 36% from the field and 15% from three while posting the Redhawks lowest point total of the season.

Catchings led Eastern Illinois with 18 points while Gomes added 13. Southeast Missouri was led by Roy Booker with 15 points. Senior Waylon Francis had his first career double-double for the Redhawks with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Southeast now travels to California to go against California-Riverside on Saturday, 6:05 p.m. (CST).
