Box Score

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO -

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Damarcus Hence sank a 3-pointer with 33.7 seconds to play and Reggie Golson scored a career-best 25 points as Southeast Missouri State held off Morehead State 80-77 on Saturday night.

Hence and Derek Winans scored 14 points each for the Indians (11-14, 4-10 Ohio Valley), who led 37-36 at halftime in a game that produced 12 lead changes and 14 tie scores.

With the Indians clinging to a 78-77 lead, Golson blocked a shot by Morehead's Ricky Minard - the league's leading scorer - with 14 seconds left. Winans converted two free throws one second later to seal the victory.

Mike Nelke added 12 points for Southeast, which was outscored by eight points from the free-throw line, was outrebounded 34-27 and shot 48 percent from the field to Morehead's 50 percent.

But the Indians went 12-of-23 from 3-point range - including seven of 12 in the second half - while Morehead finished five of 15 from behind the arc.

Minard finished with 34 points for the Eagles (13-12, 8-6). Chad McKnight added 12 points and David Aliu 11.
