CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Nick Stapleton's 37 points Saturday night pushed him above 2,000 for his career and helped Austin Peay to an 80-47 victory over Southeast Missouri.

A basket by Stapleton with 14:25 to play in the first half put Austin Peay (13-17, 8-8 Ohio Valley Conference) ahead 21-6. Southeast Missouri (6-21, 4-12) cut the lead to 10 on a free throw by Derek Winans with 12:15 to play, but the Governors pushed the lead to 44-18 at halftime.

Austin Peay added to its lead throughout the second half, going up as much as 72-35 on a 3-pointer by Stapleton with 5:00 to play. Stapleton then came out of the game having outscored the Indians 37-35. He finished the game with 2,016 career points.

Anthony Davis, who was the only other Governor to score in double figures, finished with 17 points. Demetrius King led the Indians with 14 points.
