Box Score

Jacksonville, Ala. - Seniors Courtney Bradley and Nick Smith led Jacksonville State to a 78-72 win over Southeast Missouri State. Bradley had 28 points while Smith added 24.

Despite the win, the Gamecocks,9-21 overall and 7-13 in the OVC, failed to make the Ohio Valley Conference post-season tournament while the Redhawks,11-19 and 9-11 in the OVC, will be the number six seed and will open tournament play on Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Tennessee Tech.

Southeast Missouri led 42-40 at the half in a glove tight game that saw 13 ties and 15 lead changes with neither team leading by more than five points until the final minute of play.

Brandon Foust led Southeast with 21 points while Dionte Perry scored his first collegiate double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Terrick Willoughby added 11 points.

A jumper by Foust tied the game at 70-70 with 2:04 remaining, but the Gamecocks took advantage of Southeast turnovers to outscore the Redhawks 8-2 in the final two-minutes.
