Southeast Hoops Fall to Murray

The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball team fell to 4-11 in the Ohio Valley Conference Thursday night as Murray State topped them 76-63.

After nine lead changes and four ties in the first 12 minutes, 30 seconds of play, Murray regained the lead for good at 21-20 with 7:25 left in the first half. The Racers outscored Southeast 20-3 to finish out the half to take a 39-23 advantage into the lockerrooms.

Southeast was lead in scoring by junior center Reggie Golson, who finished with a game-high 19 points and a team-high six rebounds. Junior guard Derek Winans chipped in with 15 points.

Southeast's record goes to 11-15 overall.

The Indians will close out the regular season Saturday at Tennessee-Martin at 6 p.m.
