Southeast Wins Exhibition Opener

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Despite falling behind by as many as nine points in the first half, the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks still cruised to an 89-76 exhibition win over Missouri-St. Louis.

The Rivermen came out hot to lead by as many as nine, but the Redhawks rallied late in the first half, and took a 39-38 halftime lead. The second half was all Redhawks. Southeast hit 6-13 from three in the second half and shot 51% from the field.

Terrick Willoughby led Southeast with 24 points while Ketshner Guerrier had 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Roy Booker scored 18 points while Andrais Thornton had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Southeast will have its second and final exhibition game of the season on Nov. 12 vs. Arkansas Tech.
