KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Terry Reynolds scored 23 points in his college debut to lead Toledo to a 59-43 victory over Southeast Missouri State Friday in the opening game of the Energia Systems Thanksgiving Tournament.

Reynolds scored 16 points in the second half, and all of his game-high five assists came in the second half to help Toledo pull away.

Toledo senior Greg Stempin added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Southeast Missouri, which won its first two games over NCAA Division II opponents, shot just 32.7 percent from the field. The Indians' 43 points marked the school's second-lowest total since joining Division I in 1991.

Toledo led 33-30 with 11:56 to play but used an 8-0 spurt to take command.

Emmanuel McCuthison led Southeast Missouri with 14 points. Antonio Short added 11.
