CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Michael Archie scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, helping a balanced Mississippi Valley State to a 82-70 victory Monday over Southeast Missouri State.

Willie Neal added 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting and collected nine rebounds for the Delta Devils (4-3), who had six players score in double figures. D'Jamel Jackson and Attarrius Norwood added 13 points apiece, and Ashley Robinson and Kevin Conley each had 12.

Derek Winans had 21 points for the Indians (1-7) on 8-of-12 shooting, making all but two of his six 3-point tries.

Tim Scheer added 19 points and Demarcus Hence a career-best 15 for Southeast Missouri, who trailed 41-29 at halftime despite shooting 50 percent - 12 of 24 - from the floor in the first half.

Southeast Missouri managed to close to within five points twice in the second half.

The Delta Devils outrebounded Southeast Missouri 40-30.

The Indians also committed 18 turnovers - five more than the Mississippi Valley State team that had 10 steals - and were outscored by eight points at the free-throw line.
