Tulsa Beats Redhawks, 89-51

Tulsa, Okla. - Playing without three of their top players, the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State were no match for Tulsa of Conference USA as theGolden Hurricanes blew past the Redhawks 89-51.

Southeast was without 6-10 center Will Bogan who left the team to attend his grandfathers funeral, leading scorer Jaycen Herring who missed the game with illness and senior starter David Johnson who was out with an ankle injury.

The Hurricanes, 6-4, jumped to an early 20-2 lead and never looked back. Tulsa led 45-27 at the half.

Southeast, 8-5, pulled within 13 in the second half but a 13-0 run put the game away for Tulsa. Glenn Andrews came off he bench to lead Tulsa in scoring with 19 while Ben Uzoh had 18, Jerome Jordan 16 and Rod Earls 13.

Southeast was led by Brandon Foust with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Rod Pearson added 12 points for the Redhawks while Mike Rembert had 11.

The Redhawks return to the Show Me Center to host Central Methodist on Sunday, Dec. 30, 3 p.m.
