Redhawks Beat Central Methodist 76-63

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Senior Brandon Foust recorded his second straight double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead Southeast Missouri State to a 76-63 non-conference win over Central Methodist.

The visiting Runnin Eagles battled the Redhawks on even terms, but the Southeast bench outscored the Central Methodist bench 36-6 and eventually wore down the smaller Eagles.

Jaycen Herring was 6-7 from the field, 1-1 from three and 3-4 from the line to lead Redhawks scorers with 16 points. Foust and Marcus Rhodes added 12 points each and Michael Rembert had 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Central Methodist, 5-9 on the season, was led by Bud Stanley with 19 points while Anthony Love added 17.

The Redhawks, 9-5 overall and 4-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference will host Eastern Kentucky in a key OVC game on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m., at the Show Me Center. EKU is 3-1 in league play.
