Gonner and Golson Earn All-OVC Honors

March 3, 2005

Nashville, Tenn. - On the eve of the Ohio Valley Conference semi-finals at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Southeast Missouri State seniors Dainmon Gonner and Reggie Golson earned all-OVC honors.

Gonner, who leads the OVC in scoring and steals, was selected first team all-OVC while Golson, who leads the league in rebounding and blocks was selected second team all-OVC.

"It is a well deserved honor for both players," said Southeast coach Gary Garner. "They have been very consistent and their numbers are really impressive."

Gonner averaged 20.5 points and 3.7 steals per game while Golson averaged 8.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Gonner also led the league in minutes played with 37 per game.

The dynamic duo will lead Southeast in the semi-final game with Eastern Kentucky on Friday, 8 p.m. The game will be televised live by ESPNU which is available on Direct TV.
