Southeast Missouri Basketball Signs Florida Junior College Inside Player

May 24, 2004

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State University basketball coach Gary Garner has announced that Ketshner Guerrier of Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida has signed a national letter of intent to attend Southeast.

Guerrier, 6-6, 215, is originally from Miami, Fla., and attended North Miami High School along with current Southeast football defensive back Anthony Lumpkin.

At Santa Fe last season, Guerrier averaged nine points and six rebounds per game. In his final season at North Miami, Guerrier averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game.

"Guerrier gives us additional depth at the 4 and 5 positions," Garner said. "He is adept at scoring around the basket and he is a good athlete who can rebound and defend."
