Bradley Basketball Transfer Will Enroll At Southeast
May 24, 2005 Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State University basketball coach Gary Garner has announced that Bradley transfer Michael Rembert will enroll at Southeast. Rembert, 6-9, 250, will be eligible beginning with the 2006-2007 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He is a graduate of St. Rita High School in Chicago where he was a two-year honorable mention all-state selection by the Chicago Sun Times. "We're excited about having Rembert join our basketball program," said Southeast coach Gary Garner. "He is a big player who can put the ball on the floor, shoot the three and post of strong inside. He has the size, ability and work ethic to take us to the next level." Rembert played in 52 games during his career at Bradley but was playing behind standout 7-foot freshman Patrick O'Bryant. He shot 50.5% from the field. In his only start of last season he had 12 points, five rebounds and a blocked shot at Western Kentucky. "I had a great time at Bradley and I love and appreciate all the staff and faculty," Rembert said when he announced he would transfer. "My family and I are just looking forf a better opportunity." Rembert will enroll at Southeast this summer and will be eligible to practice with the team when drills begin in the fall.
