Men's Basketball Schedule Includes 15 Games at the Show Me Center

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Fifteen home games at the Show Me Center and road games against New Mexico, Kansas State, Iowa and Bradley highlight the 2008-2009 Southeast Missouri State University men's basketball schedule.

The Redhawks, 12-19 last season, 7-13 in the Ohio Valley Conference, will open exhibition play by hosting Missouri Baptist on Nov. 1 with an exhibition game with MacMurray College scheduled for Nov. 8. The regular season opener will be at New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 14 with road games at Kansas State (Nov. 16) and at Iowa (Nov. 25) sandwiched around a Nov. 21 game at the Show Me Center against Culver Stockton.

The Kansas State and Iowa games are part of the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Invitational which will conclude at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 28 and 29. The Redhawks will play Longwood in Las Vegas on Nov. 28 and either Oakland or Delaware State on Nov. 29.

OVC play begins on Dec. 4 when the Redhawks host Austin Peay with an OVC matchup with Tennessee State on Dec. 6. Dec. 5 and 6 will be "Hall of Fame Weekend" with the Hall of Fame Class of 2008 inducted on Dec. 5 and introduced at the games on Dec. 6.

The Redhawks also have home games against Western Illinois and SIU Edwardsville in addition to hosting a Bracket Buster game on Saturday, Feb. 21. Other road games include games at Western Illinois and Arkansas State plus the OVC schedule.

Southeast single games will begin at 7 p.m. with doubleheaders with the women's team beginning at 7:45 p.m.
