MAGAZINE HONORS SOUTHEAST BASKETBALL PLAYERS

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - - Lindy's 2003-2004 Basketball has selected Southeast Missouri State University center Brandon Griffin as the top rebounder in the OVC and guard Brett Hale as the best shooter in the league.

Lindy's picked guard Derek Winans and Griffin as second team all-OVC.

The magazine picked Southeast to finish fourth in the 11-team league with Austin Peay first, Murray State second and Morehead State third.

Griffin established a new Southeast single season rebound record last season when he averaged 10.5 rebounds per game. Hale shot 47% from the field, 43% from three and 91% from the line while Winans led the team in scoring with 15.3 points per game.
