Coach Wilhite is in his third season as the cornerbacks coach at Southeast Missouri State University. He is one of seven current Southeast coaches that played collegiately at the University of Nebraska.

Wilhite is in his third season as the cornerbacks coach at Southeast Missouri State.


Kenny Wilhite led the Big 8 Conference in interceptions for the Cornhuskers in 1991.


Wilhite's coaching career began at New Mexico State University under Tony Samuel following a successful playing career in the Canadian Football League. In 1996, Wilhite was voted as CFL All-Star and finished third in voting behind Doug Flutie for the Player of the Year award.

He went on to coach at Dodge City Community College, Emporia State University, and in 2005 served as an assistant coach at Kentucky State.

Wilhite played his collegiate football at the University of Nebraska under Coach Tom Osborne. He was an All-Big Eight selection in 1991, after leading the league in interceptions.

Wilhite signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears in 1993 and began in the CFL with the Sacramento Goldminers.

Wilhite is originally from St. Louis, Mo., and is a 1992 graduate of the University of Nebraska.
