Red Team Defeats White Team in Annual Spring Football Game

April 12, 2003 CAPE GIRARDEAU - Jack Tomco hit Ray Goodson with an eight yard touchdown pass with only 49-seconds remaining to give the Red Team a 19-15 win in Southeast Missouri State University's annual Spring Football Game.

Tomco, who passed for a school record 3,132 yards and 29 touchdowns last season, completed 22-31 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns in the spring game. His other TD pass was a 3-yard pass to T.J. Milcic in the third quarter that put the Red team on top 12-7.

Reserve quarterback Tyler Clark hit Brandon Amick with a 75-yard touchdown bomb with 4:40 remaining in the fourth quarter to put the White team up 15-12, but Tomco guided the Red team downfield for the winning touchdown.

Sophomore Joromy McDowell played only in the first quarter and was 4-5 for 78 yards and one touchdown for the White team.

The Red team was coached by Angie Wyatt of WSIL-TV while the White team was coached by Tiffany Sisson of KFVS-TV.
