Dan Connolly Signs With Jacksonville Jaguars

April 25, 2005

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Former Southeast Missouri State offensive lineman Dan Connolly has signed a free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Connolly signed just minutes after the completion of the NFL draft.

"I am just happy to be signed and headed to mini-camp," Connolly said. "I signed with the Jaguars just minutes after the draft. They made me a very good offer and I have a good chance of making the team. I leave for mini-camp on Thursday."

Connolly, 6-4, 310, is projected as an offensive guard by the Jaguars who signed 11 rookie free agents on Sunday night. He played tackle at Southeast and started every game for four straight years.

Connolly becomes the third former Southeast player currently on an NFL roster. He joins wide receiver Willie Ponder of the New York Giants and offensive lineman Eugene Amano of the Tennessee Titans.
