Southeast Football Players Help With Tornado Cleanup
May 13, 2003 CAPE GIRARDEAU - When a May 6 tornado inflicted heavy damage on Jackson, Mo., members of the Southeast Missouri State University football team and coaching staff volunteered to help with the clean up effort. A total of 55 players and 11 coaches spent four hours helping with the recovery effort. Southeast coach Tim Billings said his team members were amazed at the amount of damage, but were excited about being able to help people in the Jackson area.
