Simonhoff Named To Another All-America Team

Dec. 16, 2005

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Junior punter David Simonhoff of Southeast Missouri State University has been named to another Division I-AA All-America team.

The Sports Xchange has named Simonhoff to its second team All-America squad. Earlier this week the American Football Coaches Association named Simonhoff to its All-America team.

A consensus preseason All-America selection, Simonhoff again led the Ohio Valley Conference in punting with an average of 42.8 yards per punt. He had a long punt of 80 yards giving him four punts of 80 yards or longer during his career at Southeast. Simonhoff had 16 punts inside the 20.

Simonhoff was selected as the OVC Specialist of the Week three times and was honored as the National Specialist of the Week twice.

Originally from Coral Gables, Fla. (Coral Gables High School), Simonhoff holds the Southeast and OVC record for punting average after averaging 46 yards per punt as a sophomore.
