Men's Golf Tied For Second After First Round At Pickwick
Pickwick Dam, Tenn. (March 4, 2003)- After the first round of golf at the Tri-State Classic, the Indians of Southeast Missouri State University are placed second with an overall team score of 298. Jimmy Blose scored a 35 on the front nine and 38 on the back nine to end the first round one-over on the par 72 Pickwick State Park Golf Course. Southeast golfer Woody Hill scored a 36 on the front nine and 38 on the back nine to end the first round two-over par with a score of 74. Kent Phillips is currently placed 13th with a first round score of 75. Brian Sheehan is currently placed 20th with a first round score of 76. Matt Hillis caps off the Southeast golfers with a first round score of 78. Lipscomb University is the overall team leader with a total team score of 295. University of North Alabama and Belmont University are tied with Southeast Missouri State with overall team scores of 298. The University of Western Illinois is currently fifth with an overall team score of 300. The second round of play at Pickwick State Park is set for today. |
