Cape Girardeau, Mo. (February 21, 2003) - The Southeast Missouri Golf team will head to Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday to compete in the Pizza Hut/Bellsouth Intercollegiate, hosted by Jackson State University. The field will include 16 teams including OVC foe Tennessee Tech. Other teams competing will be Jackson State, Alcorn State, Alabama State, Birmingham Southern, Texas Southern, Nichols State, Southern, Indiana-Purdue, Lewis University, Grambling, Prairie View A&M, Centenary, Newman, and Christian Brothers. This will be the Indians first tournament of the spring season and should be a great starter for the squad. "I believe this is a great tournament," said coach Carroll Williams. "This is an excellent event to play in and it will be a great test of our team's talent this season." Southeast will be in action after this weekend on March 2-4 at the Tennessee-Martin Classic. |
