Johnson Tied For Second After Two Rounds At Bradley Team is in ninth after the first day of competition
Oct. 9, 2001 Peoria, Ill. - (October 10, 2001) - After two rounds of golf at Mount Hawley Country Club in Peoria, Southeast senior Bryan Johnson is tied for second-place with Bryan Kohlmeier of Evansville, whom he also battled with at Bent Creek in the first tournament of the season in which he won. Reeve Krikke of Northern Iowa is in first with a one-under par. Johnson shot a first round one-under 69 to take the early lead, but shot three-over in the second round as Krikke came back with a one-under of his own to lead Johnson and Kohlmeier by three strokes. Northern Iowa is the overall team leader with a 580, 20-over par. Evansville and Southwest Missouri round out the top three. Other golfers for SEMO include Matt Hills, tied for 24th, Jimmy Blose, tied for 48th, Woody Hill, tied at 68th and Mark Horn at 75th. The final round is slated for today and will be over some time around 3 p.m. |
