8th season at Southeast

The senior member of the assistant coaching staff, Alan Eads is embarking on his eighth season with the Otahkians.

Eads arrived at Southeast with winning on the mind after spending eight years building a nationally successful women's program at Moberly (Mo.) Junior College. He led the Lady Greyhounds from 1986-94 and compiled a 200-37 (.844) record. During his tenure at Moberly to the NJCAA National Tournament five of his eight years as head coach with a third place finish in 1987 and fifth place finishes in 1988 and 1994.

Prior to his accomplishments at MJC, Eads made a name for himself at the other basketball power in Moberly - Moberly High School. From 1979-83, he led his teams to a pair of two district championships and two trips Missouri State Tournament.

A 1973 alum of the University of Missouri, Eads served as an assistant coach of the South team, which won the gold medal at the 1991 Los Angeles Olympic Festival.

Coach Eads is the chief recruiter for the Otahkians. On the court, he is responsible for the defense and the inside post players. The past three seasons, the Southeast defense has been ranked number one in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Eads and his wife Nancy reside in Cape Girardeau.
