Season Outlook: Returning starter at small forward … great three-point shooter who stretches opponent’s defenses … spark plug for team once inserted in starting lineup last season … great quickness.

2000-01: Started last 19 games of the season … tied for fifth on the team in scoring (6.6) … knocked down a team-high 34 three-point field goals … was a perfect 3-3 from three-point range against UT-Martin (1.13.01) … knocked down three, three-pointers and tallied 15 points in near upset of Tennessee Tech (1.9.01) … scored a career-high 18 points against Morehead State (2.24.01) … pulled down career-high six rebounds against Eastern Illinois (1.20.01) … connected on 91.7% of free throws in conference action.

1999-00: Spent the season as a redshirt after suffering a stress fracture.

1998-99: Averaged two points and one board per game ... gained valuable playing experience after seeing action in all but one game for the Otahks ... scored eight points on 3-for-5 FG, including 2-for-4 3FG, vs. Missouri (11.24.98) ... notched seven points in three other games.

Prep Career: 1998 grad of Plymouth High School ... played shooting guard for coach Paula Suemnicht at PHS ... won numerous accolades, including team MVP, Player of the Year, two-time All-Area, three-time All-Conference and All-State ... scored over 1,000 points in her prep career ... also a two-time All-Conference volleyball player … member of the National Honor Society and high honor roll … high school teammate of incoming Otahk freshman Tanya Guell.

Personal: Born 12.4.79 ... daughter of Charles and Debbie Melis ... two-year Southeast Scholar-Athlete ... majoring in human resource management ... coaches in summer basketball league ... recruited by Wright State, Minnesota-Duluth, Akron and South Dakota ... brother Chad played football at Carroll College (Wisconsin) … one of four Otahkians from the state of Wisconsin … named to 2000-01 OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
