Southeast Missouri State Otahkians (12-6, 4-3)
vs. Austin Peay Lady Govs (11-7, 4-3)
Game 19 * January 26, 2002 * 3:30 p.m. CT
Show Me Center (7,000) * Cape Girardeau, Mo.

About Southeast: Last time out, Southeast Missouri extended its winning streak to four games and gained some important momentum heading into Saturday's key matchup with the Austin Peay Lady Govs. The winner of the game will take over sole possession for third place in the league and put themselves in good position to host a first-round OVC Tournament game.

Austin Peay is fresh off a 75-64 at Eastern Illinois on Thursday night. Shatika Hutcherson scored 18 points in the game to lead the Lady Govs, as APSU improved to 4-3 overall in the conference. AP has had a bit of bad luck this season, dropping two overtime games at home earlier this year.

Southeast won three straight road games before coming home to defeat IPFW on Wednesday night at the Show Me Center. The Austin Peay contest will be the last home game for almost two weeks for the Otahkians, as Southeast starts a four-game road swing next Thursday night.

Southeast center Pam Iversen is set to become only the second Otahkian ever (Renee Rogliardi is the other) to record 1,000 points, 700 rebounds, 150 assists, 100 steals and 100 blocks for a career as she needs only 6 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals and 6 assists to achieve that feat. Iversen has recorded three straight double-double games and has been an important factor in the Otahks winning streak.

Junior Lori Chase is the reigning OVC Player of the Week and has scored in double figures in 33 of her last 37 games. She too is approaching the 1,000 point career mark, as she needs only 74 points to become the 13th Otahkian to reach that career milestone.
