It is the first-ever Player of the Week nod for Whitney, who captured the Newcomer of the Week award for the seventh time this season.

The 6-2 junior college transfer averaged 23 points and 7.5 rebounds last week in helping the Redhawks tally a 2-0 record at the Show Me Center. Whitney recorded her seventh double-double of the year on Feb. 8 against Morehead State with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Two days later, she added 18 points, five boards and equaled a career high with three blocks in a 73-72 Southeast win over Eastern Kentucky.
