CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -

Both the women's and men's basketball programs will host a Fall Basketball Coaches Clinic in the Show Me Center on Saturday, October 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Southeast men's and women's coaches will join other coaches from the area and basketball experts to provide instruction and techniques to other coaches.

The cost for the clinic is $30.00 per coach. Registration for the event is from 8:00-9:00 a.m. on October, 23. Each coach will receive a notebook and a gift for registration and have the opportunity to win various door prizes, which include a DVD player, shoes and a sweat suit. Lunch is included at the clinic.

Men's Head Coach Gary Garner will instruct individuals on the triple-post offense. Women's Head Coach B.J. Smith will instruct on the motion offense and how to build an offensive player.

Scott Givens (Force Plus, Sprint and Jump expert) will provide instruction and techniques on sprint and jump training for pre-, mid-, and post-season. Greg Franklin (Head Women's Basketball Coach at Southeastern Illinois College) will instruct on the half-court zone. Michael Smith (Head Women's Basketball Coach at Moberly Community College) will instruct on offensive sets and last-minute plays.
