The Redhawks conclude their three-game road trip as they head outside of conference to face Atlantic Sun foe East Tennessee State in the Memorial Center on Wednesday December 28 at 7:00 p.m.

The game can be heard live on ESPN 1220 AM and is web-streamed live at www.gosoutheast.com.

The Redhawks head into the match-up with a record of 5-5 after picking up their first road victory of the season with a 83-76 victory over OVC opponent Jacksonville State last Tuesday. The win also snapped the Redhawks two-game losing streak.

Freshman guard Tarina Nixon had her best game of the season as she recorded her second-straight game setting a new career-high in scoring. She poured in a game-high 21 points on 8-12 shooting including 5-7 from three-point range, just one trey short of the school record.

Fellow newcomer Lachelle Lyles had her best game as a Redhawk as she recorded her fourth career double-double and her first as a Redhawk with 10 points on 5-6 shooting and a game-high 12 rebounds (six offensive) off the bench. Tatiana Conceicao poured in 20 points for her fifth 20+ scoring game of the season.

SCOUTING THE LADY BUCS

The Lady Bucs sit at 5-3 after falling to Appalachian State 85-78 on the road. The loss was the Lady Bucs second-straight, all on the road. All three of their losses have come on the road but are 3-0 at home this season.

Against the Mountaineers the Lady Bucs trailed the whole game and fell behind by as much as 18 points despite shooting 46-percent from the field and 44-percent from the three-point arc.

Three Lady Bucs finished in double figures led by B.J. Banjo's game-high 20 points on 8-17 shooting. Candace Gibson scored 17 points and grabbed eight boards and Jenny Norman chipped in 14 points.

Banjo is a preseason Atlantic Sun First-Teamer as she leads the team in scoring at 18.7 ppg. She also grabs 5.6 boards per game and leads the team in dimes with 4.6 per game.

Gibson is the only other Lady Buc that scores in double-figures at 13.8 ppg. She also leads the team in rebounding at 9.3 per game. The Lady Bucs bench is one of their strengths as they have four players that score four or more points per game led by Michelle DeVault at 9.1 ppg.

The Lady Bucs return eight letterwinners including four starters from a team that went 13-17 last season including 9-11 in the A-Sun. Last season the Lady Bucs went 7-6 at home.

SERIES HISTORY

East Tennessee State was victorious in the two team's only match-up. The Lady Bucs won 61-58 in Johnson City on December 7, 1996.

The Redhawks are 3-4 against non-conference opponents this season. The Redhawks will look for their first road win against a non-conference foe as they head into the match-up with a road record of 0-2 outside the OVC.
