Redhawks Split Duals at Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. - (Friday, February 18, 2005) The Redhawks split their tri-meet at Bowling Green defeating Wisconsin-Oshkosh 194.525-187.950 and losing to host Bowling Green, who scored a school record 196.100. The Redhawks (3-4, 2-2 MIC) score was a season high and helped snapped a three-dual losing streak.

Four Redhawks set new career-highs and the team scored a 48.800 on the beam, tying for seventh best on the school's all-time list.

Tara Boldt (Lakeville, Minn./ T.A.G.S) won the all-around honors for the third meet this season with a season's best 38.975. In the process of winning the all-around title she tied for second on the vault (9.775), finished third on the beam with a season-high 9.800 and fourth on the floor with a score of 9.850, also a season's best.
 

 

On the vault Katie Bloom (Snellville, Ga./ Gwinnett Gymnastics Center) finished tied for third with a season-high 9.725. Lexie Hein (Appleton, Wis./ LaFleur's Gymnastics) finished fourth with a career-high 9.700 followed by Jennifer Kaye (Brookfield, Wis./ Salto Gymnastics) in fifth with a 9.675, tying her career-best.

Bloom followed her vault performance with a third place showing on the uneven bars with a career-high 9.825.

On the beam five Redhawks set season-highs with two of those setting new career-highs. Boldt was the top-finisher with her third place showing. Hein and Allison Ezell (Kansas City, Kan./ Alpha Omega) tied for fourth place with a score of 9.775, representing career-highs for both.

The Redhawks scored a season-high 48.775 on the floor. Alexis Traylor (St. Charles, Mo./ All American) was the top Redhawks finisher in third place with a season-high score of 9.875. Boldt followed her in fourth with Amanda Grimes (Lone Jack, Mo./ GAGE Gymnastics) finishing fifth with a season-high 9.800.

Hein finished third in the all-around with a career-high 38.875 followed by Bloom in fourth with a season-high 38.800.

Southeast will continue their tour of the Buckeye State when they travel to face 33rd-ranked Kent State on Sunday.
