Cape Girardeau, Mo. (February 23, 2002) - The Otahkian Gymnastics team used a strong group of excellent floor routines to come from behind and win its meet against Texas Woman's University Saturday night by the score of 189.550-188.000.

Southeast was down by two full points going into the last rotation, but it used a very strong floor routine to capture the meet. Southeast scored a 48.900 on the floor, their second highest score on the event this season.

They scored a 48.225 on their first event the vault, but couldn't manage anything higher than a 46.425 on their next two events.

Junior Amy Cole won the all-around competition with a score of 38.375. Sophomore Ashley Godwin was second with a score of 37.925. Senior Michelle Walker won both the floor exercise and the balance beam with scores of 9.875 and 9.700, respectively. The 9.875 on floor was the second-highest score this season for Walker.

TWU's Jessica Brozovich won the vault with a score of 9.800, and Erin McNabb won the bars with a score of 9.650.

Southeast will next be an action on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. as they play host to Illinois State University and Ball State University in a triangle.
