NORMAN, Okla. – The 2011 Southeast Missouri State gymnastics season came to a close at the NCAA Gymnastics Norman Regional on Saturday evening. The Redhawks three representatives at the event failed to qualify for the NCAA Championships with two of those gymnasts collegiate careers coming to a close at Lloyd Noble Center.

Senior Christina Sundgren (Richland, Wash./Mid-Columbia Gymnastics) scored the highest in any event of the three. She closed her career with a score of 9.850 on the uneven bars, finishing in the top-15.

Sophomore Taylor Westrick (Waterford, Wis./Salto Gymnastics) impressed in her first showing at a Regional. Competing in all four events, she scored a 38.125. Her highest score came on both the bars and beam, scoring a 9.800 in each event.

She scored a 9.700 on the floor.

Brianna Gaddie (East Grand Forks, Minn./Red River Valley) competed on the vault, closing her career with a score of 9.725.

Host Oklahoma won the Regional with a score of 197.350. Utah placed second with a 196.475 to earn a team berth to the NCAA Championships.
