Redhawks Gymnasts Finish 2010 Season at NCAA Regional

COLUMBIA, Mo. - (Saturday, April 10, 2010) - The Redhawks officially finished the 2010 season at the NCAA South Central Regional this evening. Competing for Southeast was freshman Jordan Salsberg (Gulfport, Miss./Laniers Gymnastics) and junior Brianna Gaddie (East Grand Forks, Minn./Red River Valley Gymnastics). The gymnasts were unable to qualify for the NCAA National Championship, but fought hard against some of the best gymnasts in the country.

Salsberg competed in the all-around competition. She scored a 9.700 on vault, bars, and beam. Her best placement was on beam as she tied for twenty-fourth place. She tied for twenty-eighth place on bars, and she tied for thirtieth place on vault. Salsberg turned in an 8.900 on floor. She finished seventeenth in the all-around competition with a 38.000.

Gaddie turned in a 9.825 on floor and tied for twelfth place.

The Redhawks will now turn their focus on defending their National Academic Championship and will prepare for next season's competition.
