Gymnastics Meet Changed

Jan. 13, 2004

CAPE GIRARDEAU - The Southeast Missouri State women's gymnastics program leaned today that its scheduled meet with Winona State this Friday has been canceled. However, instead of traveling to Winona, Minn. for a meet on Friday, the team will still make a trip north. The team will travel to St. Paul, Minn., where the squad will compete against Hamline and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The meet will be the season opener for Southeast, which will sport a strong squad. After recording the third highest score in school history last year, this year's team will have several key performers returning, as well as some strong freshman newcomers.

"We are very much looking forward to getting the season started," said head coach Tom Farden. "In my five years here, this team is more prepared than any other team we've had."

Southeast will have it's first home meet Friday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. The Otahks will take on Bowling Green at the Houck Field House.
