Gymnastics Squad is Ready to Host TWU for Senior Night

March 19, 2008

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks (5-6, 3-2 MIC) will complete the regular season tomorrow evening as they host the very tough, Texas Woman's University Pioneers. The theme for the evening will be "Senior Night" as gymnast Alison Ezell and team manager, former gymnast Danyelle Aber will be recognized for their dedication to the Southeast gymnastics program.

The Redhawks are coming off a close road victory against the University of Illinois-Chicago and Ball State. Southeast tallied a 194.350 in the competition to increase their team Regional Qualifying Score to 194.035. As the season winds down, the gymnasts are in peak performance and looking to stay in the hunt for a NCAA regional berth.

The Pioneers are also peaking as they are coming off a solid meet in which they scored a season-high 194.200. Seniors Courtney Arno-Templet and Nicole Poling are leading the way for TWU this season and have been big contributors to the team's success.

In the first meeting between the teams this season TWU held the advantage, 194.150-193.375. This meet will surely bring out the best in both teams as they prepare for the post season play. The competition begins at 7:00 p.m. and the Redhawks would love to see a big show of support in their last meet of the 2008 season.
