Southeast Gymnasts Compete For The Midwest Independent Conference Championship

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The No. 34 Southeast Missouri State gymnastics team (6-6, 4-2 MIC) will battle for the Midwest Independent Conference Championship this evening, 6:00 p.m., inside the Gold Dome at Centenary College. Competing with the Redhawks will be Centenary College, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois State and Texas Woman's University.

The Redhawks are currently No.1 in the MIC overall and are first as a team on vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Individually, freshman Brianna Gaddie (, Minn./Red River Vally) is No. 1 on vault, and junior Sandra Blake (Tri-Cities, Wash./Mid Columbia) is No. 1 on the floor exercise and the all-around.

The gymnast's last meet was on March 20, in which they defeated the MIC No. 2 Texas Woman's University, 193.800-192.925. Overall, the Redhawks have gone 4-2 in conference play and have registered one win against each MIC team.
