Cape Girardeau, Mo. (December 4, 2001) - The Southeast Missouri State University Gymnastics squad will face off against each other this Friday at 5 p.m. in Parker Gymnasium in its annual Intersquad.

This year's squad, which is loaded with talent, will be split in to two teams, Red and Black with eight to nine members on each team.

The Red squad will be represented by Elenor Wilson, Alexis Traylor, Ashley Godwin, Traci Flippo, Anna Fink, Katie Bloom, Talia Cover, and Jessica Bagwill.

They will compete against the Black squad which consists of Michelle Walker, Candace Spicer, Crystal Eberhardt, Jacklyn Doebbler, Amy Cole, Michelle Albury, Karen Hamilton, and Stephanie Furman.

Coach Patty Stotzheim says this meet is one just to get everybody on track and let them have a little fun.

"This is a really good opportunity for the athletes to get the pre-meet jitters out of their systems," Stotzheim said. "The judges will be there to explain their marks to the gymnasts and it's a chance to get the fans excited for the upcoming season."

Southeast opens its season by traveling to Gainesville, Fla. on January 4 and 5 to compete against the University of Florida and Central Michigan.
