Nov. 29, 2010

Nov. 21-27
This week was a short week for us! We started off the week strong with a new cardio circuit on Monday morning.

During Monday’s afternoon practice, we watched the video from the intrasquad. This helped us all see what changes need to be made and where we still need work.

After watching the video, we went back into the gym and worked on our problem areas on each event.

Tuesday, thru all the excitement of going home for Thanksgiving, we had a great practice! Even though everyone was excited to go home for Thanksgiving, we realize our work here isn’t done.

After break, our Preseason Challenge is only three weeks away! I can speak for everyone in saying that we’re all ready to make the changes we need to make to be confident and ready for the last intrasquad of the year before Christmas Break!

GET TO KNOW A REDHAWK
The spotlight this week is on sophomore Angela Serafini. She comes to us from St. Louis, Missouri.

Her favorite event is bars because to her it’s a big challenge and she loves the feeling after hitting a great bar set!

Her favorite dessert is “Fro Yo” and her favorite fruits are peaches, blueberries and grapes.

When asked why she chose SEMO she responded, “I came to SEMO because it’s close to home and I loved the community feeling!”

If Angela could have any super power she wishes she had the ability to transport herself. She has a problem being late to places and with this ability, she says, she would never have that problem ever again!

Angela genuinely cares about all the girls on the team and is one of the hardest working people I know!

GO REDHAWKS!

Emma
