Southeast Gymnasts Have Intra-Squad Meet

Dec. 8, 2004

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State gymnastics fans will get a preview of the upcoming season on Thursday, 5 p.m., when the Southeast gymnasts have an intra-squad meet at Parker Gym.

"This will be a great opportunity for our gymnasts to perform in front of fans and it will help us see how our freshmen respond to meet conditions," said Southeast coach Tom Farden. "We have been having some great practices but how the athletes respond to meet conditions is very important."

Farden said he is excited about the skill levels of his freshmen and he is pleased that his veterans have upgraded their skills. "In vaulting alone we have elevated our basic skill level by nearly a point and that is exciting."

Thursday evening's meet is free of charge and will be held in the workout facility at Parker Gym beginning at 5 p.m. Fans will also be given free schedule cards and posters.
