Southeast Soccer Shuts Out Arkansas - Pine Bluff 11-0

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (September 10, 2005) The Redhawks women's soccer team turned in quite a performance today, as they defeated the Golden Lions from Arkansas - Pine Bluff 11-0. Not only did the offensive put on a show, but the defensive came through as well, as they held Arkansas - Pine Bluff to zero shots on goal.

Southeast was led by Casey Kraft who netted a hat trick (3 goals) and dished out four assists. Alaina Lacopo followed with two goals and two assists, and Molli Beard kicked in another two goals.

This game also saw Southeast break at least two team records. Southeast broke the team record for most goals scored with their 11 goals this evening. The previous record was 9 set against Youngstown in 2000. The other record broke was for fewest shots allowed. The defensive limited the Arkansas - Pine Bluff offense to zero shots on goal. The previous record was one shot allowed, against Illinois State in 1999.

The Redhawks will next be in action on September 16, as they travel to Evansville, IN to take on the University of Evansville Purple Aces. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Redhawks will next be at home on Sunday, September 30, as they host the University of Iowa, in a 2:00 p.m. start.
