Box Score

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team defeated Lipscomb University 5-0 on Sunday afternoon to improve their record on the season to 12-1, a school best.

Southeast (12-1) got goals from Nichole Thiele, Marla Gianino, Erika Todd, Erin Slattery and Katie Huelsing to put away the Lady Bisons (0-12).

Although the game was not as one sided as last year's affair, Southeast outshot Lipscomb 20-3 and 10-0 on corner kicks. Last season Southeast outshot Lipscomb 45-0.

Gianino capped a great week scoring three goals and dishing out two assists in the Otahkians two victories, the 11th and 12th of the season, the most by the Southeast soccer team in its three-year history.

In the past two games, Southeast has scored 12 goals, the second most goals in a two-game period in school history.

Southeast will travel to Martin, Tenn. to battle UT-Martin on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. If Southeast wins the game they will clinch the OVC Regular Season Championship and earn the right to host the conference tournament. Southeast has outscored OVC opponents 10-0 this season in three conference games.
