Soccer Earns 0-0 Tie At Tennessee-Martin

MARTIN, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri State soccer posted a 0-0 tie in double overtime in an Ohio Valley Conference battle this afternoon at UTM's Skyhawk Field. The Redhawks move to 9-2-2 (6-0-1) this season, while the Skyhawks bring their season record to 9-4-3 (4-1-3).

Senior goalkeeper Lindsay Pickering (St. Charles, MO/St. Charles West) tallied a match-best 10 saves, including four in the second half, for her fifth shutout of the season. Freshman forward Ashley Runion (St. Peters, MO/Ft. Zumwalt South) led Southeast with four shot attempts and sophomore forward Courtney Alexander (Liberty, MO/Liberty) added three shots.

Tennessee-Martin was paced by senior Katie Behrens, who recorded a match-high seven shot attempts with four chances on goal.

The Redhawks return to Houck Stadium for their final two regular-season matches next weekend, beginning with Jacksonville State on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. Prior to the match, Southeast's seven seniors will be honored for their contributions to the program in a senior night ceremony.
