Bobbi Jo Schlick and Ashley Runion combined for a total of one shot in the match. Eastern Kentucky, on the other hand, had seven corner kick opportunities, including five in the second half. Their game winning goal came in the 87th minute from Carly Muller. Alex Raich fed Muller, who then shot in her third goal of the season from 25 yards out to keep Eastern Kentucky's season alive. In goal, Kristen Starkey recorded four saves, while giving up one goal. EKU goalkeeper Stephanie Lynch snagged five saves, while capturing her sixth shutout of the season, which ties Starkey.
