Soccer Inks Five for 2005 Season

Feb. 3, 2005

Cape Girardeau, MO - (Wednesday, February 3, 2005) Southeast Missouri State University head soccer coach Heather Nelson announced the signing of five players to National Letters-of-Intent on Wednesday as the Redhawks look to challenge for an Ohio Valley Conference title. Southeast won back-to-back OVC regular season championships in 2001-2002.

The Redhawk's highly-touted recruiting class consists of Nicole Bussman (FC Royals), Jessica Kaiz (Eclipse Select), Casey Kraft (JB Marine), Gianna Logston (Eclipse Select) and Megan McGrath (Eclipse Select). All five of the talented prep stars have signed to play for Southeast Missouri State next season. In addition to these incoming freshman, Lindsay Pickering, a former St. Louis Area standout goalkeeper (St. Charles West/Busch SC) and current Redhawk softball player, will join the team next season.

"This class is extremely talented and athletic." said Coach Nelson. "These signees have extensive experience at an elite club level and will elevate our intensity in training and positively impact our game performance."
