BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Senior forward Ashley Runion was named the Ohio Valley Conference's Offensive Player of the Week today for her performance at the Racer Classic this past weekend. It is the third time in her career she has received this honor and first time since her freshman season.

Runion was named to the All-Tournament Team after scoring a hat-trick against Alabama A&M in the Redhawks (2-1) 9-1 victory at Cutchin Field on Friday. It was her second career three-goal game, tying the program's single game record.

She also added a career-best three assists to set a new career-high with nine total points. That total ranks second on the school's all-time single game list for points in a game.

Her three goals came on just three shot attempts as the Redhawks recorded the program's fourth-highest offensive output in a game.

For her career, she has 19 goals which is tied for third on the school's all-time charts. Her 13 career assists and 51 points are tied for fourth on the all-time lists. She ranks third on the school charts with 75 shots on goal for her career. She needs just one shot on goal to move up to second.

The St. Peters, Mo. native will look to add to her scoring totals tomorrow evening as the Redhawks host Division III powerhouse Washington University (Mo.) in Houck Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
